very therapeutic for me.
I’ve been in and out of PT since the age of 12, and I
have made the best progress from the personal program Jacon has developed for
me."
- S. B.
"The exercises and treatments I did and received have
helped me a great deal. I am pain-free for the first time in a long time, and
plan to stay that way. This is all because of Jacon. Thank you for everything."
- P. R.
"Jacon was very attentive when I spoke about my symptoms (and everything
else!!). He has a very gentle touch. He thoroughly explained all my home
exercises. He was very interested in me healing."

Charissa L. Chaban, MPT, ATC
Physical Therapist (Dublin/Fremont)
Charissa’s
interest in becoming a Physical Therapist began in high school, when
she herself attended physical therapy for a dance related injury.
She was curious as to how the body worked and how to accelerate her
recovery to return to dancing in time for her next performance. So,
after high school, she attended UC Irvine to receive her Bachelors
in Biological Sciences and Dance, then went on to receive her
Masters in Physical Therapy from California State University,
Fresno.
Charissa has worked in Hawaii and as a traveler throughout California, deciding in 2009 that ESPT was the clinic for her to settle down at.
She is also a Certified Athletic Trainer and has worked with numerous athletes in a variety of sports. She is a certified Polestar Pilates instructor in mat and all apparatus and is available for individual sessions.
She has also had the privilege of training clinically at the Harkness Center for Dance Injuries in New York.

Jacon C. Chun, MPT, SCS, ATC, CSCS
Director of Physical Therapy (Dublin/Fremont)
Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist
Jacon
has over 10 years of experience in the sports and orthopedic
rehabilitation arena. His vision is to provide the same level of
care to the general public, that he saw being given to the elite
athletes he has worked with at the University of California at
Berkeley and Stanford University Sports Medicine Departments.
In addition to working with post-surgical orthopedic patients,
auto accident patients, and worker's compensation patients, Jacon
has a wealth of sports experience. He has worked with athletes in
over 30 intercollegiate sports, world-class triathletes in different
settings (including the Ironman World Championship Triathlon in
Kona), and elite athletes that compete at the Olympic level.
Jacon has the distinction of being the only physical therapist
in Fremont
to be board certified as a Sports Clinical Specialist and one
of only a handful in the whole Bay Area. Board certification is an
honor that less than 10% of all physical therapists in the United
States possess, and truly distinguishes those who have committed
themselves to excellence in clinical practice.
Jacon is also an NATA certified Athletic Trainer and an NSCA
certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He currently serves
on the United States Fencing Association medical staff and continues
to volunteer in the Stanford Sports Medicine Department on an
as-needed basis. Jacon is fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin.
Jacon also serves as Clinical Specialist for AlterG and mainly sees patients in the afternoons and weekends at the Fremont clinic. For inquiries about his availability, please
call our office for more details.
You can still schedule with our other highly
skilled therapists for your rehabilitative needs. Their experience
(more than most physical therapists in the area) and the quality of
our care will still provide you with the Best Physical Therapy in
Fremont!!
